From Houston

From Austin
Spend just under two hours cruising down I-35 and you'll find yourself in the Hill Country in no time. But if you make a day of the trip, you'll have all the time you need to see lakes, parks, museums, and more—some of which don't even require a detour.
Canyon Lake
Taking a dip is only one of many things you can do on this detour. Take in the views at the overlook or swing by Comal Park for a picnic.
